Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted the continuation of intermittent and scattered thunderstorms across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center indicates that thunderstorms of varying intensity are anticipated in the governorates of Al-Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, and Saada. Additionally, parts of the Tihama Plain and the western coast may also experience such weather conditions.
The forecast includes scattered rainfall, sometimes accompanied by thunder, expected in areas of Al-Bayda, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, Hadramawt, and Al-Mahrah. This weather pattern may extend to parts of the eastern and southern coasts.
The center has issued warnings to citizens about the thunderstorms and the possibility of sudden torrents in ravines and valleys. It advised against being in these areas during and after rainfall, crossing ground-level bridges during floods, and remaining in elevated regions or near tall trees. Further recommendations include refraining from using mobile phones and disconnecting electrical power supplies for safety.
Reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountainous slopes due to rainfall and fog formation is also anticipated, prompting additional caution from travelers and residents in affected regions.
