Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted more rainfall of varying intensity and scattered showers across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin indicates that thunderstorms of varying intensity, some heavy and potentially accompanied by hail, are expected in parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Mahwit, Ibb, Taiz, Raymah, Dhamar, Hajjah, Dhale'a, Bayda, Sana'a, the Tihama Plain, and the western coasts.
Scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are also forecasted for parts of the highlands of the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, Hadramaut, Mahrah, Marib, and Jawf, as well as parts of the southern and eastern coasts and their inland areas.
The amount of rainfall recorded at meteorological stations in the past 24 hours includes 48.2 mm in Ibb-Ba'dan, 48.0 mm in Mahwit, 29.1 mm in Hodeida-Zabid, 11.0 mm in Dhamar, 9.8 mm in Taiz, 6.3 mm in Hajjah-Abs, and 6.0 mm in Raymah.
The center has issued warnings to citizens regarding thunderstorms, advising against crossing or staying in floodwaters during and after rainfall. It also cautioned about the risks of rock and mudslides and poor visibility due to rainfall and the formation of low clouds and fog.
