Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted thunderstorms, hot to very hot weather, and strong winds causing rough seas over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center highlights thunderstorms of varying intensity expected over areas including Al-Bayda, Al-Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and portions of the Tihama Plain and western coasts.
Scattered rain, occasionally accompanied by thunder, may also occur in parts of Amran, Hajjah, western Saada, Sana'a, and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, Hadramawt, and Al-Mahrah. The forecast predicts hot to very hot weather conditions across the deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal regions.
Strong winds are anticipated over the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, the southern and eastern coasts, and the Bab al-Mandab entrance. The center has issued warnings regarding potential flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising citizens against being present in or crossing these areas during and after rainfall. Additionally, there is a caution regarding the dangers posed by thunderstorms.
The center also advised citizens to be cautious of the hot and very hot weather in the deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal areas, recommending increased fluid intake and avoiding direct exposure to sunlight during midday hours.
