Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, in parts of several provinces over the next 24 hours. The center stated in its weather bulletin that, based on the results of numerical models and the analysis of various weather maps, the unstable weather conditions will continue and will expand across most of the country starting tomorrow, Monday.
According to Yemen News Agency, rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail, is expected on the eastern and southern coasts, adjacent inland areas, and parts of the deserts of Shabwah, Hadramaut, and Mahrah. Rainfall is also expected on parts of the western mountain range of the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Mahwit, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Bayda, Dhale'a, Taiz, and Lahj, extending westward to the Tihama Plain and parts of the western coasts. Scattered rain showers, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are expected to fall on parts of Jawf and Ma'rib provinces.
Over the past 24 hours, scattered rains, some heavy, fell on parts of the western highlands, the interior plateaus, and the Tihama plain, but these were outside the range of monitoring stations. The center warned citizens to avoid valleys and flood channels, and to avoid thunderstorms, soil erosion, rockfalls, strong downdrafts, and hail. It also warned citizens to avoid low-lying roads and mountainous areas due to dense cloud cover, rain, and the formation of fog or water mist. It urged citizens to stay away from unstable slopes and to take precautionary measures to protect lives and property.
