Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects scattered rainfall of varying intensity to continue across parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours. The center reported in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected to continue across parts of the governorates of Bayda, Dhale'a, Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Hodeida, Dhamar, Sana'a, Mahwit, Hajjah, Amran, Saada, Abyan, Shabwah, and Hadramaut.
According to Yemen News Agency, scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is expected across parts of the governorates of Sana'a, western Jawf, and Mahrah, as well as the southern coasts and the corresponding inland areas. Rainfall of varying intensity fell over the past 24 hours on parts of the western and southwestern highlands, extending westward to the Tihama Plain and the western coasts, and eastward to parts of the deserts and inland plateaus.
The center warned citizens of the dangers of flash floods in ravines and valleys, being in their paths, or risking crossing them during and after rainfall. It also warned of thunderstorms, strong downward winds, and hail. Additionally, warnings were issued about the potential for rockfalls and landslides, especially on mountain slopes and roads, as well as the collapse of buildings and traditional mud forts due to the continued rainfall.
Furthermore, the center cautioned about poor horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to dense low clouds, fog, and rainfall.
