Meteorology Forecasts Thunderstorms and Rain Across Several Governorates

Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted rainfall of varying intensity across several governorates over the next 24 hours, warning residents of potential thunderstorms and reduced visibility.

According to Yemen News Agency, thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected in Dhamar, Raymah, Al Mahwit, Hajjah, Ibb, Amran, and the western part of Sana'a. Additionally, scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is anticipated in parts of Saada, Taiz, Al Dhale'e, and western regions of Al Bayda and Al Jawf governorates.

The center reported that meteorological stations recorded 3.4 mm of rainfall in Dhamar and 0.2 mm in Al Mahwit over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, scattered rains of varying intensity have also been reported in parts of Hajjah, Amran, Ibb, and Taiz governorates, although these areas fall outside the monitoring stations.

Residents have been warned against being in or crossing flood channels and valleys during and after the rains, and have been advised to take precautions against thunderstorms and lightning. The center also cautioned drivers about reduced visibility due to low clouds and rainfall, especially on mountain roads.
