Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted thunderstorms with varying intensity and scattered rainfall affecting multiple provinces, alongside hot to extremely hot weather in deserts, plains, and coastal areas in the upcoming 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin indicates that thunderstorms are likely to impact the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhalea, Dhamar, Sana'a, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Amran, western Saada, and sections of the Tihama Plain. These regions are expected to experience rainfall of varying intensities.
Additionally, scattered rainfall is anticipated over parts of the Al-Bayda province, the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwah, as well as along the coasts of Al-Mahrah and the Socotra Archipelago. Meanwhile, hot to extremely hot conditions are forecasted for the deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal regions.
The center has issued warnings for residents in areas likely to receive rainfall, highlighting the risk of flash floods in valleys and watercourses. Citizens are advised to avoid these areas during and after rainfalls due to the potential dangers posed by thunderstorms.
Moreover, the center has cautioned about the hot to extremely hot weather conditions in the deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal areas. It has advised against direct sun exposure during midday and recommended staying hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids.
