Dhamar:The General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' and Missing Persons' Families in Dhamar, in collaboration with the General Mobilization apparatus, has initiated the preparatory events for the "Martyr's Anniversary" for the year 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the launch event was attended by provincial deputy governors Mahmoud Al-Jabin and Mohammed Abdul-Razzaq. Faisal Al-Hatafi, director of the General Authority for Endowments in the province, highlighted that martyrdom pursued for Allah's sake liberates a nation from fear and empowers it to confront evil. He stated that this year's commemoration is crucial amid significant regional and international shifts and aggression against Yemen, serving as a moment to renew resolve and draw lessons from the sacrifices of martyrs.
Al-Hatafi further explained that martyrdom is seen as a transition to a better life and a source of divine reward. He emphasized that honoring martyrs is both a moral and religious duty, aiming to emulate their sacrifices and instill their principles in society, thereby strengthening public awareness and resilience.
Hashim Al-Hamzi, director of the local branch of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' and Missing Persons' Families, remarked that the annual commemoration is an opportunity to reaffirm commitment to Quranic principles, defending the oppressed, and confronting global Zionist regimes. He noted that martyrs exemplify ethics and selflessness, and their sacrifices instill a spirit of self-sacrifice in future generations.
Al-Hamzi reiterated that the support offered to the martyrs' families is a small token compared to their immense sacrifices. He called for the formation of field committees to visit martyrs' shrines, organize commemorative events, and prepare exhibitions dedicated to the martyrs. The event also included a poignant poem and was attended by local leaders and social figures.
