Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning reported the continuation of unstable weather conditions over the country, which contribute to the inflow of moisture and provide favorable conditions for the development of rain-bearing thunderclouds during the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center forecast in its weather bulletin thundery rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by downdrafts and occasional hail, over parts of the governorates of Sa'ada, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Al Bayda, Al Dhalea, and Taiz. The rainfall is expected to extend westward toward the Tihama Plain and the western coast, and eastward toward the plateaus and deserts of Shabwah and Hadramawt.
Scattered rain accompanied by thunder is also expected over parts of the governorates of Lahj and Abyan, as well as the plateaus and deserts of Al Mahrah, Al Jawf, and Marib.
The center warned citizens of the sudden flow of flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising them to avoid being present in their paths and risking crossing them during and after rainfall. Additionally, warnings were issued about potential rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads, mountain slopes, and coastal plains due to rainfall and fog formation.
It also cautioned against thunderstorms and downdrafts, advising individuals to avoid high places and tall trees, refrain from using mobile phones, and disconnect electrical power during thunderstorms.
