Meteorology Issues Thunderstorm Warning Across Multiple Governorates

Sanaa: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has issued a forecast predicting scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity across several governorates.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center anticipates that these thunderstorms will impact the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Sana'a, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Al Dhale'a, Al Bayda, the Tihama Plain, and parts of the highlands of Lahj and Abyan.

The center has issued warnings to citizens regarding potential flash floods in ravines and valleys. It has advised against being present in or crossing these areas during and after rainfall. Additionally, the public is urged to be cautious of thunderstorms and to avoid proximity to electrical poles and tall trees.

There is also a warning for possible rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to the rain and fog formation.
