Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicts hot to very hot weather in the deserts, plains, and coastal areas, with rainfall of varying intensity in several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin forecasts hot to very hot and dry conditions in the deserts and coastal plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 38 and 44 degrees Celsius. Along the coasts, residents can expect hot and humid weather, with temperatures peaking between 34 and 38 degrees Celsius.
Rainfall, which may vary in intensity and sometimes be accompanied by thunder, is likely in scattered areas of the governorates of Sa'dah, Amran, Hajjah, west of Sana'a, Mahwit, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Al Dhale'a, Taiz, and the highlands of Lahj. Over the past 24 hours, meteorological stations recorded 0.7 mm of rain in Taiz and 0.5 mm in Ibb, with scattered showers affecting parts of the mountainous regions, particularly in Lahj and Saada.
The center has issued warnings to citizens about the high temperatures and advises avoiding direct sunlight during the afternoon and staying hydrated. Additionally, residents are cautioned against being in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall and are advised to seek shelter during thunderstorms.
