Meteorology Predicts Cold Wave in Mountainous Highlands

Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast cold to very cold weather in the mountainous highlands over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the Center indicates that cold to very cold conditions are anticipated during nighttime and early morning hours in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, and the highlands of Hadramout, Shabwa, Al-Dhale'a, Lahj, Abyan, western Al-Jawf, and Marib.

Temperatures in these regions are expected to range between 0-3 degrees Celsius, with the possibility of frost formation in certain areas. Additionally, the highlands of Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah are also expected to experience cold weather.

The Center has issued a warning to residents in the mountainous highlands about the cold conditions, specifically advising the elderly, children, the sick, and those working during nighttime and early morning hours to take precautions. Farmers have been encouraged to implement measures to safeguard their crops and produce from potential damage. The Center also urged those traveling to colder regions to take necessary precautions to prevent cold-related shock.
