Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted the persistence of cold and very cold weather conditions in Yemen's mountainous highlands, inland plateaus, and deserts over the next 24 hours. This weather pattern is expected to affect several regions across the country.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin indicates that the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, western Al-Jawf, and northern Ibb will experience cold to very cold weather. Moreover, there is a possibility of frost, locally known as "al-dharib," forming in certain parts of these areas.
In addition to these regions, cold weather is predicted for the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, Taiz, Al-Dhalea, Lahj, and Abyan. The plateaus and deserts of Shabwah, Hadramout, and Al-Mahrah are also likely to experience similar conditions.
The center has issued warnings to residents in the mountainous highlands, deserts, and inland plateaus, advising caution due to the cold weather. Special attention is directed towards the elderly, children, patients, and those working during nighttime and early morning hours.
Farmers are advised to implement measures to safeguard their crops and agricultural produce from potential weather damage. Additionally, individuals traveling to colder regions are encouraged to take necessary precautions to prevent cold shock.
