Yemen Scholars Association Mourns the Loss of Al-Kubsi

Sana'a: The Yemen Scholars Association has announced the passing of its esteemed member, Mutahar Hussein Abdullah Al-Kubsi, who died after battling an illness. Al-Kubsi was 55 years old and left behind a legacy of dedication and service to his nation.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Association released a statement praising Al-Kubsi's virtues and his commitment to Islamic jurisprudence and pure religious sciences. His educational journey began in Al-Kubas village, Khowlan, and continued under the guidance of scholars at the Grand Mosque in Sana'a.

The statement emphasized Al-Kubsi's significant role in confronting Wahhabi thought and his opposition to its symbols, noting the dangers he encountered during this struggle. In his later years, Al-Kubsi focused on teaching the Qur'an to mujahideen through cultural courses, emphasizing education, rehabilitation, and development.

The Yemen Scholars Association expressed heartfelt condolences to Al-Kubsi's family, his students, and admirers. They prayed for God's mercy and forgiveness for Al-Kubsi, and for strength and solace for his family and loved ones.

Al-Kubsi's funeral is scheduled to take place at his birthplace in Al-Kubas village, Khowlan, following a prayer at 9:00 AM tomorrow, Sunday, at the Grand Mosque in Sana'a.
