Meteorology Predicts Continued Scattered Rainfall Over Multiple Governorates

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted that scattered thunderstorms with varying intensity will persist over several governorates in the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center indicates that various areas within the governorates of Amran, Hajjah, Sana'a, Al-Mahwit, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, and the Tihama plain may experience thunderstorms of differing intensities.

Scattered rains, occasionally accompanied by thunder, are anticipated over parts of the governorates of Saada, Marib, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhalea, the highlands of Al-Jawf, as well as in Lahj and Abyan.

The center has issued warnings to citizens about the potential dangers of flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising against crossing these areas during and after rainfall. Additionally, the forecast includes cautions about thunderstorms, recommending staying away from trees, elevated areas, and electricity poles.

Warnings have also been issued regarding potential rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to rainfall and fog formation.
