Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted ongoing scattered thunderstorms across multiple governorates in the coming 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin highlights that the governorates of Taiz, Al-Dhalea, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Sana'a, Amran, Saada, and the Tihama Plain will experience varying thunderstorms. Additionally, scattered rain with occasional thunder is anticipated in the highlands of Al-Bayda, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, and the Hadramout Plateau.
Citizens have been cautioned against potential flash floods in ravines and valleys and advised to avoid traversing these areas during and after rainfall. The center also issued warnings regarding thunderstorms and recommended staying away from electrical poles and tall trees.
Further advisories include warnings about rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to rainfall and fog formation.
