Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has issued a forecast predicting thunderstorms of varying intensity across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin highlights that these thunderstorms will bring rainfall of varying intensity, occasionally accompanied by hail, impacting regions including Bayda, Abyan, Dhale'a, Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Hodeida, Dhamar, Mahwit, Sana'a, Hajjah, Amran, and Saada.
The center also notes that the rain will extend to the highlands and deserts of Jawf, Ma'rib, Shabwah, Hadhramaut, and Mahrah governorates, affecting the southern and eastern coasts along with the corresponding inland areas.
In the previous 24 hours, thunderstorms of varying intensity were reported in the western and southwestern regions, as well as in the deserts and inland plateaus.
The center has issued warnings to citizens, advising them of the dangers associated with flood paths, especially during and after rainfall. Additionally, the public is cautioned against thunderstorms, strong downward winds, and hail. The risks of building collapses, mud forts, rockfalls, landslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to low cloud density, fog, and rainfall have also been emphasized.
