Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted continued thundery rainfall across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin indicates that thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied by strong downdraft winds and hail, are expected in the governorates of Al-Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, Amran, Hajjah, and Al-Mahwit. These weather conditions are also projected to extend into parts of the Tihama Plain.
Scattered rainfall, occasionally accompanied by thunder, may occur in the governorates of Saada, Sana'a, Al-Bayda, Lahj, and Abyan. Additionally, parts of the highlands and deserts of Al-Mahrah, Hadramout, Shabwah, Marib, and Al-Jawf, as well as the southern and western coasts, are also likely to experience similar weather patterns.
The center has issued a warning to citizens, advising them to avoid ravines, valleys, and flood channels during and after rainfall. It also cautioned drivers against crossing ground-level bridges during floods to ensure safety.
Moreover, the center highlighted the dangers posed by thunderstorms and reduced horizontal visibility due to rainfall and fog formation on roads and mountain slopes. It urged the relevant competent authorities to take necessary precautions to safeguard lives and property.
