Meteorology Predicts Thundery Rainfall and Hot Weather in Upcoming Hours

Taiz: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted varying and scattered thundery rainfall across several governorates, along with hot weather conditions in coastal and desert areas over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin indicates that the governorates of Taiz, Al-Dhalea, and Ibb are likely to experience varying rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. Scattered rainfall, sometimes accompanied by thunder, may also affect parts of the governorates of Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, western Sana'a, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan.

The forecast anticipates hot to very hot weather in the coastal and desert regions. The center has issued warnings to citizens about the potential flow of torrents in valleys and waterways, advising against being present in or crossing these areas during and after rainfall. Additionally, citizens are advised to exercise caution during thunderstorms, particularly by avoiding proximity to electric poles and tall trees.

Warnings also extend to reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to rainfall and fog formation, as well as the hot and very hot conditions expected in coastal and desert areas.
