Sanaa: Acting Prime Minister Miftah praised on Sunday the efforts of the Ministry of Information, its affiliated institutions, and the national media system in general, in continuing to consolidate awareness and faith-based identity and effectively countering the means of distortion and misinformation hostile to the Yemeni people.
According to Yemen News Agency, this came during his meeting with Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar al-Bukhaiti, who briefed him on the activities of the Ministry and its affiliated media units, the level of implementation of its general plan for the year 1447 AH, and the challenges that the Ministry still faces, as well as ways to mitigate them in order to enhance the performance of its religious, national, political, cultural, and social duties and mission.
Miftah emphasized the vital and active role of various traditional and modern media outlets in influencing societies, both positively and negatively. He pointed out that despite the limited resources available to Yemeni media, it has admirably confronted hostile regional and international media empires, exposing the crimes of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition and countering its attempts to undermine the awareness and resilience of the Yemeni people over the past years.
The Acting Prime Minister also affirmed that the government of change and reconstruction highly values the significant and active role of the national media system and its vital and influential efforts.
