Sana'a: A meeting chaired by Acting Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah reviewed on Saturday preparations and arrangements at central event venues in Sana'a and the provinces to receive participants marking the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed's birth.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by Sana'a Mayor Hamoud Abbad, senior officials, and representatives of the organizing committees, reviewed field preparations and ongoing logistical, technical, and organizational work at the designated venues. Miftah praised the efforts made by the organizing committees and called for welcoming participants in a respectful manner. He also urged attendees to follow the committees' instructions regarding entry and organized departure times, which will be announced through the media.
He noted the scale and density of participation in this year's events were unprecedented in Yemen, the Arabian Peninsula, and the wider region, praising the level of organization and discipline. Sana'a Mayor Abbad said preparations had begun early to provide the equipment and facilities needed at Al-Sabeen Square and the Military Academy Square. Work includes improving and maintaining roads and entrances, landscaping, lighting, cleaning, and other services.
Officials overseeing the central venues said preparations were nearly complete across the provinces, with screens, sound systems, and other equipment installed. Large screens will also be added at some major venues to enable all participants to follow the celebration program.
