Miftah Reviews Progress of Street Repair Projects in Maeen District

Sana'a: Acting Prime Minister Miftah inspected on Saturday the progress of two street rehabilitation and repair projects in Maeen district, at a cost of 232 million riyals, funded by the local authority.

According to Yemen News Agency, Miftah was accompanied by the Mayor of Sana'a, Dr. Hammoud Ubad, the Undersecretaries of the Municipality for Public Works, Engineer Abdulkarim al-Houthi and Ali al-Lahji, the Governor of Sana'a, Yahya Jumaan, and the Director of Maeen district, Abdulmalik al-Radhi. They reviewed the implementation of the project to rehabilitate and repair dilapidated sections of Street 24 and its intersection with 60th Street to the north, up to its intersection with Street 36 in Maeen.

Engineer al-Houthi explained that the project includes asphalt repairs covering an area of 3,300 square meters, in addition to the construction of 750 meters of overpasses and addressing stormwater drainage issues in the targeted neighborhoods of the first phase.

The Acting Prime Minister and the Mayor of Sana'a also inspected the asphalt repairs being carried out on two side streets in the Ha'il district by the Roads Construction and Maintenance Executive Unit of the Municipality. They listened to a briefing from the project manager, Engineer Bilal al-Imad, regarding the 85% completion rate of the project, which includes the repair and paving of damaged sections of several main and side streets in the Ha'il district, covering an area of 10,000 square meters in the first phase.

Allama Muftah emphasized the importance of this project, which serves as a model of cooperation between the Sana'a Municipality and the community, and falls under the umbrella of social initiatives projects. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to preparing and implementing these works, especially the Capital Municipality and community initiatives, expressing his hope that the Capital Municipality will have a broader and better role in the year 1448 AH in the field of rehabilitating and restoring dilapidated roads and filling potholes.
