Minister of Culture and Tourism Inspects Historic Village of Beit Boss in Sana’a

Sana’a: The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ali Al-Yafei, inspected the monuments in the historical village of Beit Bawss in Sana’a, which dates back to the eighteenth century BC, and represents a witness to the succession of Yemeni civilizations.

According to Yemen News Agency, the minister praised the unique architectural style of the village, which extends over a mountain half a kilometer and includes about 200 houses built of red stone. He also visited the Beit Bawss Fort and Al-Hadi Mosque (293 AH) accompanied by the First Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Essam Al-Sunni.

The minister stressed the importance of protecting and restoring archaeological monuments and preparing them for investment in coordination with the concerned authorities, emphasizing that heritage preservation is a collective responsibility, given the historical and cultural wealth it represents for Yemen.
