Sana'a: The Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, alongside the Governor of Hajjah, Hilal Al-Sufi, inaugurated the new branch of the Higher Academy for the Holy Quran and Its Sciences in the governorate, marking the commencement of its first academic year.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the inauguration, Minister Al-Saadi expressed his pride in opening the Academy's branch, highlighting its importance at the governorate level and its potential to produce significant scientific contributions. He acknowledged the enthusiasm of the people of Hajjah Governorate, emphasizing their role in confronting aggression and their alignment with the directives of Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
Minister Al-Saadi praised the efforts behind establishing this academic institution, likening its opening to a celebration after decades of marginalization aimed at distancing the nation from the Holy Quran and its faith identity. He called on everyone to support the Academy in achieving its goals of nurturing the future generation.
The event was attended by notable figures including the Head of the Court of Appeal, Judge Hussein Al-Houthi, and the President of Hajjah University, Dr. Taha Al-Hamzi. Dr. Al-Azi Rajeh, President of the Academy, emphasized the central role of the Quran and its sciences in attaining dignity, freedom, and honor for the nation. He urged the community to support this initiative, aligning with the directives of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
The inauguration also saw participation from the Deputy Mobilization Officer, Mohammed Al-Nu'ami, and various directors of executive offices. Abdullah Shayim, Deputy Mobilization Officer, stressed the necessity of this institution for empowering future generations to confront adversities and promote truth and justice. The event featured a poetic recitation by poet Mohammed Al-Abali and performances by Academy students.
