Hodeida: Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Ayash Quhaim, along with a United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeida Agreement (UNMHA) team, assessed the damage to Hodeida port docks after recent airstrikes by Israeli aircraft.

According to Yemen News Agency, the inspection included a detailed briefing from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Zaid Al-Washli, and Deputy Nasr Al-Nusairi. They discussed the impact on the port's infrastructure and the measures being taken to ensure continued operations.

Minister Quhaim condemned the airstrikes, attributing responsibility to the United States and the Zionist entity for attacking a significant civilian facility. He emphasized that the assault on Hodeida port signifies the Israeli forces' inability to confront the resilience of the Yemeni people.

The Minister urged the United Nations to fulfill its responsibilities by condemning the attack and documenting the damage for international review. He highlighted the global implications of the United Nations' inaction, particularly regarding food and humanitarian security for millions relying on the port.

Minister Quhaim commended the Red Sea Ports Corporation's leadership and staff for their resilience in maintaining operations under challenging conditions. UN mission members expressed their concern over the destruction and its potential humanitarian impact on Yemen.
