Minister Reviews Services for Blind Women at Al-Aman Association

Sanaa:Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi reviewed the services provided by Al-Aman Association for the Care of Blind Women in Sanaa, focusing on their developmental, educational, and care efforts.

According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Al-Saadi, alongside Dr. Ali Abdul Malik, director of the Center for People with Special Needs at Sanaa University, toured the association's facilities. They examined the Braille printing press, which produces educational materials for blind students, and assessed its production capabilities to ensure students receive necessary textbooks and academic references for both general and higher education.

During the visit, Minister Al-Saadi discussed with the association's executive director, Rawda Al-Faqih, and the director of the education program, Umm Al-Salam Al-Darab, about the educational and rehabilitation programs available. They also talked about the health, living, and psychological support provided to beneficiaries and the association's efforts to maintain and develop services despite challenges, ensuring blind students do not fall behind academically.

Minister Al-Saadi commended the association's role in empowering blind women and emphasized the importance of coordinating with relevant authorities to support issues related to the blind. He reiterated the ministry's commitment to supporting institutions that aid students with visual disabilities, highlighting the need for official and community collaboration to continue and enhance these educational services for better societal integration.
