Sanaa: Deputy Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development Nasser al-Mihdhar and Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ali al-Makni convened to discuss collaboration between their ministries, specifically focusing on automation initiatives to enhance service delivery.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting centered on improving the performance and services provided to citizens through better communication networks between the Ministry and the provinces. Discussions included establishing a dedicated website for the Ministry with a new official domain and providing secure email addresses for staff. The meeting also explored technical support and IT cooperation, with plans to train ministry, governorate, and district staff at the General Institute of Telecommunications to improve their technical skills.
The Deputy Minister of Telecommunications highlighted the importance of these initiatives and committed the ministry's support in hosting the website and forming a specialized team to address the details. An agreement was reached to simplify internal communication methods and create a list of services and locations to facilitate better access to information. Both ministries underscored the importance of teamwork and exchanging expertise to achieve their goals in local and rural development and ensure that projects are implemented according to high standards.
