Al-Dhahiriya: Zionist settlers have once again targeted Zanuta School, situated east of al-Dhahiriya and south of Hebron, by destroying and stealing its contents. The school is known for its resilience and defiance, but on Sunday, it faced yet another assault.

According to Yemen News Agency, Fayez al-Tal, the Head of the Zanuta Village Council, reported that several settlers dismantled and took away iron doors, blackboards, and partitions between classrooms. This destruction comes after efforts by the village council and residents to renovate the school in preparation for the return of students.

Al-Tal highlighted that this is not the first time the school has been attacked. The settlers have repeatedly targeted Zanuta School, destroying it several times and attempting to forcibly displace the villagers by demolishing their homes and attacking their properties.

In November 2023, the Zanuta Mixed Elementary School was set ablaze and destroyed by settlers, following a series of forced displacements that saw over 250 residents driven from their homes and lands on October 28, 2023. However, after enduring more than nine months of displacement, the residents successfully obtained a court order from the Israeli occupation authorities in August 2024, allowing them to return to their homes.
