Sana'a: The Zakat Office in Ibb governorate organized a speech event on Wednesday to commemorate the anniversary of "al-Sarkha Against the Arrogant." During the event, Majed al-Tina, the Director of the Zakat Office in the governorate, emphasized the significance of this anniversary as a symbol of awareness regarding the dangers and challenges facing the ummah. He highlighted the importance of maintaining principled stances against forces of domination and arrogance.
According to Yemen News Agency, al-Tina noted that zakat is a fundamental pillar for achieving social solidarity and strengthening community resilience. He underscored the importance of using this occasion to instill humanitarian and faith-based values within the community. Al-Tina explained that the Zakat Authority is actively working on expanding its charitable and developmental projects to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable groups. He stressed the importance of integrating cultural awareness with humanitarian action to address current challenges.
Al-Tina called for the promotion of community responsibility and solidarity to build a cohesive society capable of facing various challenges. Dr. Mohammed Murshid, the Director of the Mosque Administration at the Guidance Sector in the governorate, also spoke at the event. He explained that al-Sarkha represents a faith-based stance, expressing disavowal of the enemies of the ummah and emphasizing the importance of upholding religious principles and ethical values.
Dr. Murshid urged for collective efforts among various institutions to enhance community awareness and strengthen values that contribute to overcoming challenges. The event also featured a report outlining the origins, stages, and key significance of al-Sarkha, highlighting its role in raising awareness of the dangers posed by the enemies of the ummah and its principled stance in confronting these challenges.
