Taiz:The Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment has strongly condemned the targeting of the Mafraq Mawiyah market in Taiz Governorate by Saudi forces. This incident resulted in the death and injury of dozens of civilians, including children, and caused significant damage to shops, commercial facilities, and citizens' property within the market.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ministry's statement described the attack on a busy commercial market as a dangerous escalation in the targeting of civilian areas, economic activities, and citizens' livelihoods. This action is seen as part of a broader policy aimed at undermining the Yemeni people's economic capabilities.
The ministry emphasized that markets are vital to economic and daily life, and their targeting not only results in immediate damage but also disrupts trade and supply chains, adversely affecting traders, business owners, and workers.
