Sana'a: The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has announced the launch of the September 21 Folk Poetry Competition in celebration of the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution. The competition seeks to engage folk poets of all ages and from all governorates with the theme centered around the September 21 Revolution, including its objectives and results.
According to Yemen News Agency, the competition requires participants to submit one original poem that has not been previously published or entered into any other competition. The poems should consist of between 15 to 30 verses. Entries must be submitted in Word file format via WhatsApp to the provided numbers, along with personal data including the participant's full name, mobile number, and governorate.
The Ministry has set the deadline for submissions as September 20, 2026. The competition offers substantial rewards, with the first-place winner receiving 300,000 riyals, the second-place winner 200,000 riyals, and the third-place winner 100,000 riyals. Winners will be announced on September 23, and an award ceremony will be scheduled at a later date.
