Sanaa:A signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the poetry collection "Qafiyat al-Iba /Rhyme of Defiance." This anthology, featuring poetic works dedicated to the September 21 Revolution, was compiled by poet Hassan Sharaf al-Murtada and published by the General Authority for Books, with support from the Heritage and Cultural Development Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, the collection includes poems in Standard Arabic that explore the popular revolution of September 21 and the events and changes it brought about. It serves as a literary record of the role poetry played during Yemen's political and historical shifts.
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Abdullah Al-Washli stated in his foreword that poetry in the Arab tradition has always been a vehicle for preserving historical memory and adding emotional depth to events. "Qafiyat al-Iba'" gathers poetic responses from different stages, highlighting their evolution over the years.
Abdulrahman Murad, Chairman of the General Authority for Books, mentioned that this publication is part of a larger initiative to produce cultural works that examine the September 21 Revolution from various angles. The collection signifies the entry of classical Arabic poetry into the realm of literary documentation for this significant occasion in Yemen's history.
