Sana'a: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research for the Basic Education Sector, Hadi Ammar, emphasized the need for comprehensive training of educational staff to enhance the quality of the educational process.
According to Yemen News Agency, Ammar's comments were made during the opening of a training workshop in Sana'a, aimed at supervisors and monitors of early-grade classes. The event, organized by the education sector, underscores the significance of preparing first-grade teachers to improve student learning outcomes, particularly in basic reading and writing skills.
Education Sector Official Abdulqader Al-Mahdi highlighted that the workshop targets 95 participants, including heads of training departments, subject supervisors, and early-grade monitors. The program is designed to equip these participants with the necessary skills to effectively deliver the first-semester Arabic language curriculum for first grade using a unified teaching approach.
Directors from various educational divisions, including Abbas Al-Hadi of the Curriculum and Educational Planning Division and Radman Al-Jumari of the Educational Supervision Division, along with Reading Curriculum Development Specialist Hanan Hamid Al-Din, addressed key challenges faced by first-grade teachers during the workshop. They reviewed progress in enhancing reading and writing outcomes for students and announced plans for additional training workshops in districts next week, targeting first-grade teachers in both public and private schools.
