Ministry of Information Honors Martyr Hashim Sharaf al-Din in Commemoration Ceremony

Sana'a: The Ministry of Information commemorated the Arbaeen of Martyr Hashim Ahmed Sharaf al-Din, who served as the Minister of Information in the Government of Change and Reconstruction, through a speech event that highlighted his contributions and sacrifices for the Palestinian cause and the nation.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event featured a speech by Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar al-Bukhaiti, who emphasized the ministry's commitment to carry forward the media mission that Martyr Hashim Sharaf al-Din championed. Dr. al-Bukhaiti underscored Yemen's significant sacrifices in confronting global forces, particularly America and Israel, in defense of Palestine and against global Zionism. He criticized regimes that have abandoned the Palestinian cause, noting Yemen's steadfast support under the leadership of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

Dr. al-Bukhaiti praised the martyred minister's efforts in opposing hegemonic forces and enhancing media work to confront national challenges. He called for inspiration from the martyr's courage and dedication, urging continuous media efforts to counter Zionist arrogance. The event also spotlighted the upcoming media law as a continuation of the martyr's vision.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Shami, Undersecretary for Policy and Content, reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to uphold the path and goals set by Martyr Hashim Sharaf al-Din. He highlighted the martyr's belief in media as a powerful message and his enduring influence within the ministry. Dr. Al-Shami expressed that the martyr's work and vision remain crucial for the nation.

Mohammed Mansour, Undersecretary for External Relations, shared personal reflections on the martyr's humanitarian achievements and media acumen. He recounted the martyr's career, from radio broadcaster to a prominent media figure, emphasizing his strategic vision and contributions, including the "National Flag" competition. Mansour called for support to the families of martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifices for the Palestinian cause.

The memorial service concluded with a eulogy, a musical operetta by the Ansar Allah band, and the honoring of the martyr's family with a shield from the Ministry of Information and its associated entities. The event was attended by prominent figures from the Yemeni media sector, reflecting on the enduring legacy of Martyr Hashim Sharaf al-Din.
