Sana'a: The Ministry of Interior called on all citizens to celebrate the anniversary of Yawm al-Wilayah responsibly and to refrain from firing bullets.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry of Interior affirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday evening the importance of commemorating this occasion in a manner that reflects its status in the hearts of Yemenis and its noble faith-based meanings. It emphasized that firing bullets is a practice foreign to the customs and values of Yemeni society, not reflecting the nature of the occasion, and poses threats to citizens' lives and property while disturbing public tranquility.
The Ministry renewed its affirmation that it will take legal measures against anyone proven to have fired gunfire, calling on everyone to cooperate in presenting the occasion in a civilized and safe manner befitting its significant status. It expressed its sincere congratulations and greetings to the Yemeni people and the Islamic nation on the anniversary of the Guardianship of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him), asking God to bring it back to everyone with goodness, blessings, and prosperity.
