Sana'a: The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli-American aggression that targeted Hodeidah Port and a cement factory in the city of Bajel, hours after residential neighborhoods in the capital, Sana'a, were targeted: The ministry said in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that launching Israeli-American attacks on internationally protected civilian facilities, such as Hodeidah Port, a vital lifeline for preventing the entry of food, medicine, and all the survival needs of the Yemeni people, aims to starve and destroy the Yemeni people amid a humanitarian crisis that is considered the worst in the world, according to the United Nations.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry of Justice emphasized that these attacks are a direct violation of international law and human rights, as they are directed towards civilian infrastructure that plays a crucial role in providing essential resources to the Yemeni population. Hodeidah Port is particularly significant as it is a primary conduit for supplies crucial for survival in a country already facing severe shortages and a humanitarian crisis.
The Ministry called on the international community to take immediate action to stop these aggressions and hold accountable those responsible for the violations against Yemeni civilians. It urged global leaders to recognize the severe impact of these actions, which exacerbate the already dire humanitarian conditions in Yemen.
Additionally, the Ministry underlined the importance of safeguarding civilian facilities to ensure the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people. It called for an urgent international response to prevent further escalation and protect the rights and lives of civilians in Yemen.
