Moscow Exchange Indices Fall Below 2,800 Points

Moscow: The Moscow Exchange experienced a decline on Monday as its main MOEX index fell below the 2,800-point level for the first time since April 16. By 16:03 Moscow time, the MOEX index, which is denominated in rubles, decreased by 2.21% to reach 2,774.14 points. According to Yemen News Agency, this drop marks the first instance of the MOEX index slipping below the 2,800-point threshold since April 16, 2025. In parallel, the dollar-denominated RTS index experienced a decrease of 2.2%, settling at 1,072.64 points. The downturn in the Moscow Exchange correlates with a decrease in oil prices on global markets, as Brent crude reached its lowest level since April 9.
