Sana'a:The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, along with its affiliated bodies, organized an event in the capital to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, highlighted the significance of the revolution in initiating a new era characterized by freedom, independence, and a break from foreign influence. He emphasized the revolution's accomplishments in enhancing military capabilities and defense industries, which have strengthened Yemen's regional and international presence.
Al-Hamli urged the importance of adopting the revolution's principles to bolster social unity, uphold values of freedom and sovereignty, and maintain resilience amidst challenges. He outlined the revolution's achievements in restoring national decision-making and sovereignty, ending foreign dominance, and promoting the Yemeni people's pride and dignity.
He also recalled the challenging security conditions before the revolution, including violence, bombings, and attacks, asserting that the revolution was a response to these circumstances. The Deputy Minister described the revolution as an ongoing movement essential for nation-building and societal improvement.
Furthermore, Al-Hamli reiterated Yemen's support for the Palestinian cause and national issues, guided by the goals of the September 21 Revolution. Undersecretary for the Labor Sector, Abdullah Haidar, noted that the revolution reaffirmed Yemeni pride and faith-based identity, despite external opposition from Saudi Arabia, the US, and Israel.
Haidar emphasized the revolution's success in achieving independence and self-reliance, crediting the steadfastness of the Yemeni armed forces and the sacrifices of martyrs. He stated that celebrating the revolution's anniversary is a testament to the belief in a just revolutionary project aimed at liberating Yemen from foreign control.
