Ministry of Youth and Local Authority Ink Deal to Revamp Sa’ada Sports Stadium

Sa'ada: An official agreement was signed today in Sa'ada Governorate to rehabilitate and turf the city's sports stadium. The agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Nabeh Nasser, and the Secretary-General of the Local Council of Sa'ada Governorate, Mohammed Al-Imad. Present at the signing were the Ministry of Youth's Undersecretaries for the Youth Sector, Abdullah Al-Razhi, the Governorate's Undersecretary for Works Affairs, Ibrahim Al-Numari, and the Undersecretary for Financial Affairs, Abbas Amer.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Minister of Youth affirmed that the project is part of a strategy to develop sports facilities and provide an environment to revive sports activity in several governorates, including Sa'ada. He highlighted that the infrastructure had been extensively destroyed by external forces, depriving the residents of practicing their hobbies for years.

The Deputy Minister further noted that the project, set to be carried out in phases, reflects a determination to overcome the effects of destruction. This initiative is seen as a pivotal turning point for advancing the sports sector and restoring its vitality in the governorate.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Local Council emphasized that the agreement aligns with the shared commitment to fulfill the aspirations of the youth. He assured that the local authority will continue to cooperate with the Ministry of Youth to restore and rehabilitate facilities and construct modern stadiums. These efforts aim to discover sports talents and hone their skills to represent the governorate and the nation.
