Sanaa:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has stated that the Saudi regime's ongoing aggression against Yemen requires a military response based on the principle of reciprocity. The Ministry emphasized that the recent attacks, particularly targeting Sanaa Airport, have led to significant loss of life and damage to Yemen's infrastructure, obligating the Yemeni Armed Forces to retaliate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry highlighted the Saudi regime's persistent disregard for demands to lift the blockade and cease targeting Sanaa International Airport over the past 12 years. Despite numerous calls, including those from the United Nations, the airport has faced hundreds of raids even before the Zionist-led strikes.
The Foreign Ministry further argued that ending the blockade and hostile activities against Yemen would be more beneficial for Saudi Arabia than continuing its aggressive actions, which risk strategic damage. Airlines flying to Saudi airports were advised to coordinate with the Yemeni Humanitarian Operations Center to avoid moral and legal repercussions.
Additionally, the Ministry accused Qatar of complicity in the Yemeni conflict due to its political and media activities supporting Saudi Arabia. It criticized Qatar for abandoning its traditional role in conflict mediation and aligning with the Saudi regime, which could pose a threat to Qatar itself. The Ministry urged Qatar to reassess its involvement in the conflict.
The Ministry also criticized the United Nations and its envoy to Yemen for their stance, which it claims legitimizes Saudi actions in Yemen. It warned that unless Saudi Arabia ceases its aggression and interference in Yemeni affairs, the consequences will be severe, and Saudi Arabia will face increasing challenges.
The statement concluded by condemning the Saudi regime's actions in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, pointing out the lack of international concern and highlighting Yemen's right to sovereignty over its territory.
