Amran: The Mobilization in Amran Governorate today launched the project to distribute eight thousand food baskets for the poor and needy - the third phase, supported by the Yemen Inmaa Development Charity Foundation as part of humanitarian initiatives coinciding with the month of Ramadan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project targets eight thousand poor and poorest families in various districts of the governorate, and comes within social care programs aimed at alleviating the suffering of the poor and enhancing the values of solidarity and charity in society during the holy month.
During the launch, the First Deputy Governor of Amran Governorate, Abdulaziz Abu Kharfsha, affirmed that the distribution of the Ramadan basket comes in response to the call of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to enhance social solidarity and care for the poor and needy.
He called on community members, philanthropists, and the affluent to support charitable and humanitarian initiatives, and to check on the conditions of their neighbors and relatives, especially in the month of Ramadan in which God multiplies the reward for those who spend.
Abu Kharfsha praised the efforts of the Mobilization and the Yemen Inmaa Foundation in implementing these initiatives that alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people due to the aggression, and enhance the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among community members.
Meanwhile, those in charge of the project affirmed that it represents a practical step in supporting the poor and needy, reflects the commitment of development and charitable institutions to their social responsibility, enhances the role of society in standing with the most vulnerable groups, and embodies the values of solidarity and charity.
