Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 index closed higher Tuesday, at 4,817.01 points, marking an increase of 17.1 points, or 0.36 percent, from the previous trading session's close of 4,799.87 points. However, the value of trading decreased by 32.1 percent, reaching 23.483 million Omani rials, down from the previous session's 34.559 million rials. According to Yemen News Agency, the market capitalization rose by 0.465 percent from the last trading day, reaching nearly 29.31 billion Omani rials. Non-Omani investors' buying value reached 1.022 million Omani rials, accounting for 4.35 percent of total trading. Their selling value was 1.211 million Omani rials, or 5.16 percent. The net foreign investment saw a decline of 189,000 Omani rials, a drop of 0.80 percent.
