National Human Rights Commission and Democratic School Forge Partnership with MoU

Sana'a: The National Human Rights Commission and the Democratic School have formalized a strategic collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at bolstering joint efforts in the realm of human rights, with a particular focus on the protection of children's rights and enhancing awareness within the community.

According to Yemen News Agency, the signing ceremony was marked by commendations from Ali Taysir, Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, who lauded the Democratic School for its commendable track record as a 'well-established institution.' He acknowledged the school's national contributions, especially in the areas of children's rights protection and fostering community engagement.

Taysir emphasized that this MoU is part of the Commission's broader strategy to establish meaningful institutional partnerships with civil society organizations. These partnerships are seen as crucial for harnessing accumulated expertise to support human rights and humanitarian initiatives. He reiterated the commitment of the Commission to collaborate closely with the Democratic School in advancing its mission to safeguard national and human rights.

Highlighting the significance of the current phase, Taysir called for the expansion of human rights partnerships and the support of initiatives that reinforce the principles of justice and human dignity. He underscored the need to build societal awareness that prioritizes the protection of vulnerable groups, especially children.

During the proceedings, Shaimaa Al-Mutarrib, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Democratic School, was honored by the Chairman for her notable contributions to human rights and community service.
