Kuwait: The national football team thrashed on Tuesday Bhutan 7-1 in today's match in Kuwait, part of the fifth round of the final stage of the Asian Cup qualifiers.
According to Yemen News Agency, the seven-goal haul came from Zakho SC star Nasser Mohmado, who scored four goals, while Harun Al-Zubaidi, Adel Abbas, and Omar Jolan each added one. Bhutan managed only a consolation goal.
The victory raised the national team's tally to 11 points, placing them second behind Lebanon, who defeated Brunei 3-0 and lead Group B with 13 points.
The national team still has a strong chance of qualifying for the finals, provided they defeat Lebanon in the sixth and final round, scheduled for 26 March in Beirut.
