Sana'a: An expanded meeting, chaired by the Assistant Undersecretary of the Sana'a City, Sami Sharaf Al-Din, discussed the annual performance report and the report of the Oversight and Inspection Committee for the Ma'een Multipurpose Cooperative Society in the Ma'een District. During the meeting, held under the supervision of the Social Affairs and Labor Office and the Agricultural Cooperative Union in the Sana'a City, a new board of directors was elected for the society, headed by Abdullah Abbas.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Undersecretary emphasized the important role that cooperative societies play in supporting community development efforts, promoting cooperative and volunteer work, and improving the level of services provided to citizens. He emphasized the necessity of establishing the principles of transparency, accountability, and institutional work to ensure enhanced trust between the association's management and its members, and to expand the base of beneficiaries of its activities and projects in various fields.
For his part, the Director of the Directorate, Abdulmalik Al-Radhi, explained that the leadership of Ma'in Directorate gives special attention to cooperative work as an important pillar of local development. He affirmed the readiness to provide all possible support to the association to enable it to implement its programs and future plans, and to serve the people of the Directorate.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Director of Associations, Nabil Rajih, members of the association, and delegates, the former head of the association, Abduljalil Al-Kabsi, presented the association's final report. This report included the activities, programs, and initiatives implemented during the past period, as well as the difficulties encountered and the achievements made in the service and development sectors.
The attendees stressed the importance of building upon the successes achieved, addressing shortcomings, and developing plans that contribute to expanding the scope of the association's work and strengthening its community presence. They commended the positive indicators included in the report. At the conclusion of the meeting, the previous administrative board of the Mu'in Cooperative Society was honored in recognition of their significant efforts over the past three years.
