New Sana’a District Commemorates Annual Martyr’s Anniversary

Sana'a:A commemorative event took place on Tuesday in the New Sana'a district of Sana'a governorate to honor the annual "Martyr's Anniversary" (1448 AH). The event was dedicated to remembering the sacrifices of the martyrs and continuing the efforts toward general mobilization.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Fuad Naji, Deputy Chairman of the General Authority for Endowments (Awqaf), emphasized the importance of this occasion. He noted that it provides an opportunity to learn from the martyrs, who exemplified the highest ideals of sincerity, loyalty, and steadfastness, sacrificing their lives for God and the honor, dignity, and freedom of the Yemeni people.

Dr. Naji highlighted the role of the martyrs in reviving the culture of *jihad* (struggle) and self-sacrifice for God’s cause. He praised their efforts in championing the nation and its vital causes by standing firm against oppressors and confronting tyrants and criminals.

District Director Abdullah Al-Marouni also spoke at the event, stating that history has shown those who surrender to enemies face greater sacrifices than those who confront them to defend their faith, homeland, freedom, and national honor. He called for the promotion of a culture of *jihad* and martyrdom, urging the public to unite, strengthen the internal front, and support the armed forces in the nation's defense.
