Sana'a: A cultural evening was held in the Al-Muhandisin neighborhood in the New Sana'a District of Sana'a Governorate to commemorate the Prophet's birthday. The event highlighted the significance of the occasion and attracted several notable figures, including the Governor's Deputy, Mohammed Ayedh; Idris Al-Shami, a member of the Presidential Committee for Mobilization for the Prophet's Birthday Celebrations; and Suleiman Watahya, the Director of Civil Service in the Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the scholar Saleh Al-Khawlani, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, spoke about the importance of this celebration as an opportunity to reflect on the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and to draw lessons and morals from it. He urged widespread mobilization and participation in the closing event on the twelfth of Rabi' al-Awwal, which marks the culmination of the festivities honoring the birth of the Prophet.
The Director of the District, Abdullah Al-Marouni, expressed that participating in this commemoration is a reflection of the faith-based connection to the Prophet and his mission, which is deemed by believers as divinely ordained. He praised the district's residents for their role in maintaining security and stability, highlighting their efforts against perceived tyranny and arrogance. Al-Marouni emphasized that preserving the nation's security and stability is a collective responsibility.
The evening's program also featured expressive songs and was attended by district leaders such as Ibrahim Al-Salami, the director of economy and industry, Colonel Hamid Hatem, the director of security, and various social figures.
