Obbad and Al-Madani Inaugurate Exhibition for Productive Families in Al-Sabeen District

Sana'a: The Mayor of the Capital and the First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, inaugurated the "The Best Our Hands Have Produced" exhibition to support productive families in Al-Sabeen District in its first season. According to Yemen News Agency, the exhibition is organized by the Al-Sabeen Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association from 18-29 Ramadan, featuring 100 productive families. The exhibition includes food and consumer products, clothing, handicrafts, and natural oils, and is funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Unit in the Secretariat and the General Authority for the Development of Small and Micro Enterprises. Abbad and Al-Madani were accompanied by several officials, including the Head of the Social Affairs Committee - Deputy Head of the Development Team, Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, and the Head of Planning and Finance, Sharaf Al-Hadi. They toured the exhibition pavilions and listened to explanations from the Executive Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, Abdullah Sharaf al-Din, about the unit's role in financing exhibitions to market the products of productive families. The officials affirmed that financing these exhibitions is part of a broader strategy to support productive families, create direct marketing outlets, and improve product quality. The programs are complementary to the Small and Micro Enterprise Authority, which provides loans and assists families in planning, marketing, qualification, and training. During the inauguration, both Obbad and Al-Madani emphasized the significance of the exhibitions as a step towards addressing the economic challenges faced by the Yemeni people. They expressed readiness to allocate permanent market spaces for productive families to enhance product development, marketing, and sales. The exhibitions are seen as a move towards self-sufficiency in local production and national industries. The Mayor and the First Undersecretary praised the efforts of the exhibition or ganizers and the quality of local products showcased by the participating families. The Head of the Social Affairs Committee, Al-Naqeeb, highlighted the exhibition's role in economic empowerment and institutional partnership for development. Meanwhile, Al-Washli, the Director of Al-Sabeen District, noted that this exhibition is the first step in a series of projects aimed at creating job opportunities for productive families. Abdullah Ibrahim, Head of the Al-Sabeen Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association, explained that the exhibition includes a variety of local products and emphasized its importance in supporting economic empowerment and providing citizens with competitively priced goods.
