Sanaa: The Mayor of the Capital Sanaa, Dr. Hammoud Obbad, along with Shura Council member Ziad Al-Riyami, conducted an inspection of the Orphan and Girls' Care Home associated with the Al-Rahma Foundation for Human Development. Their visit aimed to assess the current conditions and the services being offered to the residents.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inspection was also attended by Deputy Secretary of the Capital Secretariat Ali Al-Lahji and Deputy Director of the Works Office in the Secretariat, Engineer Abdul Latif Al-Wali. During the visit, the officials toured several facilities within the foundation, including service areas, classrooms, a health unit, and a sewing workshop specifically for the girls. They received a detailed briefing from the foundation's administrators on the educational, health, psychological, rehabilitation, and training services provided to the residents, along with the ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and stable environment for the orphaned girls.
Mayor Obbad highlighted the necessity of collaborative efforts from official entities, the private sector, and philanthropists to meet the needs of orphans, in line with divine directives and to strengthen social solidarity, especially in the sponsorship of orphans. He assured that the Capital Secretariat is prepared to support the Al-Rahma Foundation's ongoing efforts to aid orphaned girls and orphans, commending the foundation's significant role in their care and rehabilitation.
The Mayor also noted the importance of addressing orphans' needs in conjunction with the celebration of Mawlid al-Nabawi, emphasizing its significance in reflecting the values of charity and compassion exemplified by the Prophet.
