Sana'a: Officers and personnel at the Central Prison in Sana'a Governorate organized a protest to show support for the Quran and Al-Aqsa Mosque. This event, conducted under the banner "In Support of the Quran and Al-Aqsa Mosque, in Solidarity with Lebanon, and in Affirmation of Readiness," saw participants denouncing the ongoing insults against Islamic holy texts and sites.
According to Yemen News Agency, the protest included officers and personnel from the Central Prison, which is part of the Rehabilitation and Reform Authority of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in Sana'a. Participants displayed banners condemning the insults against the Quran and Islamic sites, while also chanting slogans that affirmed their solidarity with the Palestinian cause and their rejection of Zionist actions.
During the event, a statement was delivered by Captain Asaad Al-Bakri, the prison director, which condemned the offenses against the Holy Quran, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and other sacred Islamic sites. The statement reiterated support for the Palestinian people and resistance fighters. It highlighted the commitment of the personnel to the directives of their leadership and stressed the importance of maintaining religious and national awareness.
The statement also urged the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to fulfill their responsibilities by working to halt the repeated insults against Islamic holy sites and to criminalize hate speech. It emphasized that the Quran will remain protected by divine will and that these acts of disrespect will only strengthen the Muslims' connection to their faith and identity.
