Taiz: The body of martyr fighter Bassam Mahmoud Mohammed Al-Maqtari was laid to rest in the city of Al-Rahedah in Khadir District, Taiz Governorate. Al-Maqtari was martyred while fulfilling his duty in defense of the homeland, and his funeral took place on Saturday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the funeral procession was attended by key figures including the Director of Sharab Al-Rawnah District, Osama Al-Qatabri, Khadir Mobilization Official, Nasser Al-Hamdani, and Martyrs Foundation Official, Yousif Al-Azani, along with local leaders, social and military figures, the martyr's family, and his comrades. Mourners highlighted the virtues of martyr Al-Maqtari, acknowledging his significant role in safeguarding the homeland, its security, stability, and sovereignty.
The attendees at the funeral expressed their unwavering commitment to continue the legacy of the martyrs, pledging to make every necessary sacrifice to defend their land, honor, and national sovereignty. They voiced their determination to expel invaders and occupiers from Yemeni territory and to confront any form of aggression.
Martyr Al-Maqtari's body was interred at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Al-Rahedah following prayers held at Al-Ridha Mosque.
